RECREATION

Biking

The national bike route starts right at our doorstep. We have bikes to rent for Lomakivi customers. We have several bike routes to recommend.

Hybrid bicycle Scott Sportster 24v or cross country bicycle 10€/ 5 h, 18 €/ a day, 15 €/extra day, 90 €/ week, cycling helmet 2 €/day.

Canoeing

The Lomakivi Vacation Cottages are along a national hiking and canoeing route. As necessary, we will transport you and the canoe to Lomakivi, the distance is about half a mile from the body of water.

Downhill Skiing

Downhill skiing is available at Kouvola, about 10 miles and in Lahti about 25 miles.

Cross Country Skiing

Right at Lomakivi you can pick up the local ski trail. More commercial trails with lighted night skiing can be found in Kausala, 3 miles away

Golf

Lomakivi is close to several golf courses. The closest one is Iitti Golf that is right next to us. More established courses can be found in Kuusankoski (10 miles, Koski Golf), Heinola (15 miles, Vierumäki) and in Lahti (Takkula, 25 miles).

Fishing

Lomakivi is the ultimate fishing destination. We have two bodies of water right within walking distance, Lake Urajärvi and River Kymi. Lake Urajärvi is very popular among ice fishermen. The closest place to put your boat in water is at the Pohjanmäki boat launch, about half a mile away.
We can provide a rowing boat for the guests' use. We also rent a motor boat and fishing equipment. If necessary, we can arrange for a fishing guide.
